Service Technician

Shanco is currently seeking experienced Roofing Technicians in our Gaithersburg, MD & Lorton, VA shops who know what it takes to get the job done. The successful candidates will report to Production/Service Manager being responsible for but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• • Possess the physical ability to safely ascend/descend ladder, up to 40ft
• • Ability to lift 80lbs
• • Accurately communicate job requirements to Manager and customers
• • Knowledgeable of the scope of work required to make necessary repairs
• • Maintain self, vehicle, and equipment in a clean and professional manner
• • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures at all time
• • Promote additional products for purchase

Experience Requirements

• • 3 years minimum roofing experience preferred with some knowledge of siding and metal work
• • Valid driver’s license
• • High School diploma or equivalent
• • Ability to travel as needed
• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills of the English language
• • Strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
• • Positive/Solution based approach to challenges
• • Comfortable with heights
• • Physical fitness required to perform job safely and successfully
• • Be available for overtime and on call work as needed
